When it comes to dining out, our general rule of thumb is to avoid restaurants rated under 3.6 stars. Sure, a hole-in-the-wall might surprise you with the best burger you’ve ever had, but reviews tend to be pretty accurate. While we’re open to taking a chance every now and then, we’d prefer to avoid any unwelcome surprises—like a bug leg on our sandwich, extra protein or not!
Google reviews are fascinating because they can be polarizing. One person praises the food as legendary, while another swears they’ll never return. A recent study analyzed reviews from over 160,000 restaurants and crowned Taco John’s as the worst chain in America with a 2.61-star average. McDonald’s wasn’t far behind at 2.75, while Chick-fil-A led the pack with 3.95, followed closely by Five Guys at 3.85.
Now that we’ve satisfied our curiosity, anyone else in the mood for tacos?
